HW for 11/29/11

Today you learned about Elizabeth Eckford's first day of school at Central High. Pretend that you are her and write a diary entry that describes the day. Your entry should include what happened to you as well as how you felt.

You may want include:

- how you felt when you realized the National Guard was not there to help you.
-why you did not respond to the reporter.
-what the mob sounded like and felt like.
-how you feel about trying to go back to school tomorrow.

TImeline Assignment

On 11/23 you should have turned in your timeline. If you did not, make sure to do so ASAP.

Your timeline should include:
-all the key amendments we have learned
-all the key court cases
-major events relating to integration (Jackie Robinson, Emmett Till etc...)
-events relating to slavery and Reconstruction
